Dr. Jesse Lopez
Dr. Jesse Lopez, D.O., F.A.C.O.S., has practiced as a board-certified general and trauma surgeon for more than 35 years. The medical community recognizes him nationally for his integrative and holistic approach to patient care. He combines advanced surgical expertise with a deep commitment to address each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Dr. Lopez founded Inspiration Health and Wellness and Heartland Surgical Care. He established these clinics to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that blends traditional medicine with innovative therapies. He brings clinical expertise in general and bariatric surgery, endoscopy, medical and surgical weight loss, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, metabolic and regenerative medicine, cellular therapies, cannabinoids, and aesthetic procedures such as Botox and fillers.
As a Center of Excellence Surgeon and Physician, Dr. Lopez helps patients achieve their wellness goals and live their healthiest lives. His clinic offers in-house life coaching, integrating personal development and medical care for a truly holistic patient experience, making them unique among traditional practices.
Dr. Lopez earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from William Jewell College and his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his general and trauma surgery residency at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and the Chicago Osteopathic Hospital Medical Centers. Dr. Lopez serves on the Board of Governors of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and on the Board of Education. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and actively participates in numerous professional associations, including the American Osteopathic Association, Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine, American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Lopez is the founder and physician at Inspiration Health & Wellness, his primary clinic, and he also serves as a Staff Surgeon at Menorah Medical Center. As an adjunct professor at Kansas City University Medical School, he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of physicians. Student doctors regularly complete rotations in his clinic, gaining hands-on experience in surgical techniques and holistic patient care under his direct supervision. Dr. Lopez’s leadership in surgical education, active involvement in professional associations, and service on national committees have earned him widespread respect among colleagues. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine, American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lopez commits himself to philanthropy and community service. He has served on the boards of the Coyote Trails School of Nature, and the Blue Valley River Forest School. He has volunteered as a youth sports coach, participated on school boards, and provided charitable medical care during international mission trips to Ecuador, Mexico, and Tajikistan.
